MOUNT RAJAH EXPEDITION: Day 03
11th Feb, the last day of expedition. The night was freezing cold as every hour I woke up to relieve my blocked nose. At 7am, NaCha woke me up for the sunrise. My whole body was shaking as it was extremely cold at the peak which just a few steps from campsite.
The 360 degree view from the peak during sunrise...
I slept under a fly sheet the whole night with CheeSinLou... Eggs were the breakfast...
By 9:30am, we cleared the campsite and moved all the way down to the starting point. Celyn with full satisfaction...
The trek to downhill was much more easier... Moreover, the load of the backpacks were reduced...
Enjoying mother nature while manuvering down... recovering the scenaries which we had missed during the 1st & 2nd day...
Same path back...
My sole pic during trekking =(
Waterfall again...
...and back to the jungle trail.
Finally by 5:50pm, we're out of the jungle... Roughly, it was about 7 hours walk that day... Phew..! Exhausted!

MOUNT RAJAH EXPEDITION: Day 02
It's day 2... 10th Feb, everyone woke up by 8am...Although the altitude wasn't high, but it was cooling. Early in the morning, NaCha already preparing our breakfast, the pan mee which is his profesion.
After filling our stomach, we packed our tents and belongings and ready for the remaining hiking and trekking. By 10:50am, we left the campsite...
...and back to the jungle path.
'
The trail wasn't as easy as day 01 as it was covered by bushes, ferns, roots and fallen trees...
Roots as staircase... It was a non-stop hiking and eating journey... We stopped a few times for food...
Hike, hike, hike... trek, trek, trek... eat, eat, eat...
After a 2-hour trekking, we reached to a place where we can see a clear view of Mount Rajah... That means all the while we haven't hike the mount at all..! We're just crossing the jungle just to reach to the mount..! -_-"
After 1/2 an hour rest and enjoying the Mount Rajah scenary, we move on to reach to the mount.
By 2:15pm, we finally reached to the toughest part of the whole journey at the half mount... Previously there were a landsilde. Luckily there're another trail which already discovered by other hikers...
The following trail were tough as the terrain was muddy and soft. Moreover, it was very steep to hike.
There were a rope which was really handy to climb the steep part of the journey... just can't imagine without the rope...
At 6:00pm, we reached to the peak..! 5,526ft above sea level..! Yay! What a joy..
The view was superb... You can even see Genting Highland from there as if it was at the same height...!
A group photo plz...
During that time, there were thick clouds... Can't really enjoy the sunset...
However, it was the most beautiful sunset I've ever seen... and for the 1st time I've watched the sunset at such a high place..!
At night, our dinner still as exotic as day 01...
The night was extremely cold..! We only have a 2-person tent, 1 3-person tent and fly sheets... Before we get to bed, we enjoyed the night scenary. Darn! I din't bring my tripod..! We also had our mini casino there...
That's all from day 02... Downhill on day 03...!

MOUNT RAJAH EXPEDITION: Day 01
Happy Chinese New Year everybody... Usually I'll go hunt for Ang Pow during New Year as year by year, the Any Pows are getting lesser and lesser... Sigh... This year I din't bother much about Ang Pow or "open table..." On the 3rd day of New Year, I've joined Celyn and gang to the top of Mount Rajah which is located at Kuala Kubu Baharu for 3-day 2-night expedition. A total 8 of us celebrated our New Year there...
From left: CheeSinLou, AhMay, Nacha, AhLian, Zac, Celyn, AhFatt & Banana...
After we had our breakfast in Bentong, we moved to the Changmang waterfall and started our trekking by 9:50am...
The jungle trail was easy as it was frequently used...
By 12:10pm, we reached to a stream which is a part of Changmang waterfall... we chilled for awhile before crossing the stream...
Water was crystal clear... We took our sweet time there...
...eating, photoshooting and cocking...
At 12:45pm, we moved again and headed to the next waterfall...
After an hour walk, we reached to the waterfall... an ideal place to camp. Lots of flat surface rocks...
What else, remove the shoes and ready for sun bathing la... haha...
We had our lunch here too...
Before the lunch was ready, we had our cooling bath...
We spent more than 2 hours there before continuing our journey... Don't feel like leaving the place... After that, we trekked by the waterfall side and back to the jungle trail...
Until we reached to our campsite at 6:30pm... We set up our tents and prepared our dinner...
Our chefs, Celyn & CheeSinLou...
Nothing different from home-made food... Delicious...! No more sardine and red beans like before..! xD
We slept about 11pm and ready for next day tougher journey... That's the end of the 1st day...
