Cameron Highlands Trip: Day 1

It's the 1st Hari Raya morning, 13th of Oct... we, Wonderboy, Enigmaz, Wye Jun & I, started our journey early in the morning, 3am... not for visiting nor ketupat hunting... But to the tea farm valley, Cameron Highlands just to have our mind relax. It's been quite some times since the my last visit was on May '04 which is 3 years back and this's my 4th time to Cameron. This time really bring back my memories during the last trip so I searched for some old pics...

We used to stay at Foo's grandma's house which's located at Kampung Raja...

Ok... now the present, we left Klang at 3am and headed to Cameron Highlands via Tapah. As you know the uphill road at Tapah is narrow and winding... I've to stop twice along the way up because Wye Jun wanna puke... Of coz la... winding road + Chivas = Puke... Don't blame him, he just back from "feng tao." After 2hours ride, we stopped at the Bharat Tea Plantation to wait for sunrise scenary... but the time was only 5:45am... No sunset except stars. The stars view which you can't see in Klang nor KL. We took a nap in the car until sunrise.













Following by our breakfast at Tanah Rata... We had a perfect breakfast at Rosette Cafe before continue our journey. Our next stop was the Butterfly park somewhere in Brinchang. Not only Butterfly, there's also other creatures and plants... But the most fascinating one is the King Brooke butterfly.

Looks like King Brooke loves me so much... Coz i haven't bath ma..! Wakaka..!




After too much of butterflies... We headed up to Sungei Palas for the infamous BOH teahouse.



It's the best place to drink tea besides mamak... The scenary makes your tea tasteful altough it's bitter... serious... But the road to there's dangerous. I advise you to use bike ;)

Nearby there's a tea factory... It's opened for public...

BOH... ada uuummppphhh..?


Ooo.. now I know how's the tea being processed...

Next is tea farm again... Soon I'm sick of tea... But this time the scenary's much better... It's before the Mossy Forest...

It's dinner time..! We droved all the way down back to Tanah Rata again and had our dinner at a Chinese restaurant.



It was abit rainy... Nothing much to see at the town... but the yellow-roof-cabs really attract me.. LOL...



On our way to the campsite, we stopped by the Smoke House...


Nice ang mo feeling...








Finally we built our camps at the Forestry Department before day gets dark...


Then we visited the Parit Fall... Err... you all're advised not to go there... Klang river's much better... trust me...


We bought some sweet potatoes for our campfire BBQ.. unfortunately... the night rains non-stop... Sigh... What else can we do... sleep la..!
