Cameron Highlands Trip: Day 2

DSCF2457

Yay! It's day 2... We woke up at 7am. The night was freezing cold... Can't imagine how am I going to bath. No matter what, I took the challenge and get myself wet. It was crazy..!

All the small kids were already woke up and prepared for their breakfast.
01

The sunrays were really superb in the forest... It feels like a brand new day...
02

There're alots of nice moss and plants to be photographed... since my chicken camera really stupid at its white balance and pictures are all not in the right colour, so I just plucked a fern and shoot it black & white. What else I can do with this stupid camera...
03

After packing our stuff and torn down our camp, we had our breakfast in Tanah Rata. Then we proceed to Brinchang but the traffic was terrible. It jammed..! We decided to divert our route to the Big Red Strawberry Farm in Brinchang. Lots of flowers...
04

...and cactus are sold.
05

Since I've no money to adopt an IR filter, I switched the white balance to "fluorescent light-3" mode (for Fujifilm S6500fd) and here's the low budget IR effect...
06

Flowers in da pot...
07

Next.. to the strawberries...
08

strawberry upskirt...
09

It's difficult to capture a nice strawberry because before u manage to get 1, people already pluck it... It's "self-plucking strawberry farm." Sigh...
10

Just nice...
11

The revolution of strawberry from flower to fruit...
12

You'll see antique Land Rover trucks like seeing Myvi in Klang Valley...
14

Banana mobile made new friends there...
15

Built for tough... Save-it..!
16

Nice weather thou...
17

Corns...
18

After we had enough of strawberries photos, we continued our journey. We re-join the congestion again up to Kea Farm. See, I still can pan while driving... Imagine how bad's the traffic...
13

Finally we reached Kea Farm... We stopped by and enjoyed fresh strawberries + whip cream + caramel... OMG...! Perfect..!
20

In Kea Farm, we bought our stuff there before going downhill... That's all from Cameron Highlands...
19

Once at the low land... we visited a very interesting place, the Kellie's castle. It's just nearby the Simpang Pulai toll at the town of Batu Gajah.

Here's the front view of the castle... Kinda weird for this structure in Malaysia right..?
01

The 1st building's damaged during the WW2...
02

Lots of rooms for you to play hide and seek...
03

Of all the places in the castle, the wine cellar's the most eerie... Not sure where's the little passage goes to... I din't check it out since the place's so dark and I left once I snapped tis pic... Perhaps it leads you to the sercet tunnel to the Indian temple nearby.
04

View of the Kellie's 1st mansion from his incomplete castle...
05

Pillars all the way...
06

Like the "Dark Water" movie neh...
07

The children's room...
08

It's believed that the spirit of Kellie still wanders along this corridors... But I don't see Kellie... I saw Wye Jun... xD
09

The edge of the building... round-ended
10

Kellie's old mansion windows...
11

Greco-Roman designo..?
12

The 6-storey towers...
13

Sigh... the elevator haven't complete... If not we don't have to take the stairs... For your info, if the evelator's completed, it'll be the 1st kind in Malaysia...
14

Huh..? Who call my name..?
15

Old mansion... becomes cabriolet already...
16

On the roof top...
Kellie's-Castle-15

Time to say "tata."
17

That's all from our 2-day trip to Cameron Highlands during Hari Raya... We gained experiences but missed some ketupats & rendangs... T_T

For more day 2 shots...
