MOUNT RAJAH EXPEDITION: Day 02
It's day 2... 10th Feb, everyone woke up by 8am...Although the altitude wasn't high, but it was cooling. Early in the morning, NaCha already preparing our breakfast, the pan mee which is his profesion.
After filling our stomach, we packed our tents and belongings and ready for the remaining hiking and trekking. By 10:50am, we left the campsite...
...and back to the jungle path.
'
The trail wasn't as easy as day 01 as it was covered by bushes, ferns, roots and fallen trees...
Roots as staircase... It was a non-stop hiking and eating journey... We stopped a few times for food...
Hike, hike, hike... trek, trek, trek... eat, eat, eat...
After a 2-hour trekking, we reached to a place where we can see a clear view of Mount Rajah... That means all the while we haven't hike the mount at all..! We're just crossing the jungle just to reach to the mount..! -_-"
After 1/2 an hour rest and enjoying the Mount Rajah scenary, we move on to reach to the mount.
By 2:15pm, we finally reached to the toughest part of the whole journey at the half mount... Previously there were a landsilde. Luckily there're another trail which already discovered by other hikers...
The following trail were tough as the terrain was muddy and soft. Moreover, it was very steep to hike.
There were a rope which was really handy to climb the steep part of the journey... just can't imagine without the rope...
At 6:00pm, we reached to the peak..! 5,526ft above sea level..! Yay! What a joy..
The view was superb... You can even see Genting Highland from there as if it was at the same height...!
A group photo plz...
During that time, there were thick clouds... Can't really enjoy the sunset...
However, it was the most beautiful sunset I've ever seen... and for the 1st time I've watched the sunset at such a high place..!
At night, our dinner still as exotic as day 01...
The night was extremely cold..! We only have a 2-person tent, 1 3-person tent and fly sheets... Before we get to bed, we enjoyed the night scenary. Darn! I din't bring my tripod..! We also had our mini casino there...
That's all from day 02... Downhill on day 03...!

Hey the sunset pic really nice. The frame look like a heart-shape (a bit la) and the colours are really pretty. Must be difficult to hold camera while trekking and hiking ya... I experienced that before... Intermittently stop and take out camera snap snap snap :p
